Defend Freedom Veterans Tour – October 2013

What do you get when you take a group of decorated veterans and place them on a bus touring coast-to-coast for a month?

The Defend Freedom Veterans Tour, of course!

The tour, sponsored by the Concerned Veterans for America (CVA), will provide a platform for veterans to tell their stories and receive recognition for their service. The tour will also focus on the following issues:

• Reforming the Department of Veterans Affairs, with a special focus on the backlog of 500,000 veterans’ benefits claims.
• Reforming Pentagon spending to ensure America takes care of its troops.
• Tackling our nation’s $17 trillion debt.
• Getting veterans involved so they can continue to serve America here at home.

The bus tour includes stops in Nevada, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia and North Carolina. The 25-day tour will begin this Friday, October 4, with a kick-off event in Las Vegas.
